I love the rain, or rather the really light drizzle(:

it hasn't rained for a really really long time! i love the cool weather when it rains:D

Econsssss, eek. we aren't really sure what's tested, there seems (all of a sudden!) that there's so much to study. And next week is blocks already.. heh my hope for an extended holiday was crushed :(

So my parents and siblings are coming back tonight, whooo :) have had a few boring days at home already. hahah. not that accompanying my grandparents isn't fun, its just that I get really bored without people to annoy or people annoying me xD hmmm brought my grandparents to the jap restaurant at Cathay yest night (haha yea that's how much I don't mind having Jap food!) super super fulll. realised my grandma and I like the same kind of sushi (:

kay June holidays are going to be over in a matter of a few days, heh i haven't accomplished a lot / gone out enough yet. I can't wait for holidays at the end of the year, like, true blue holidays.

Gershwin is super cooool. the clarinet solo at the beginning of rhapsody in blue (orchestral) is super super cool as well, the gliss which sadly I can never perfect. And Pictures at an exhibition by Mussorgsky, funny how I've always heard of it but never listened to the recording before. but its a good piece:D Tchaikovsky's dance of the sugar plum fairy! (: i'm starting to like Elgar's Pomp and Circumstance as well, partly cos we're playing it in snys also. hahah but there wont be combined for quite long i think... until after the chamber concert ):

I never thought I'd be so bored without anybody annoying me, ha ha.

today was/is a boring day, its so strange not having people around me. haha my siblings especialllly. Okay now I really wonder how I'll be like if I were an only child, haha I think I'd be really really bored. Or maybe I'd already have been accustomed to it since young. hahah but I think I really wouldn't enjoy it! I'm already having trouble living through two days without my siblings already.. goodness.

I think.. I should listen to an orchestra and go out for a concert, I haven't been to one in ages. Its strange how I didn't even manage to go for a single concert through the arts festival. Sistic doesn't show anything .. Appealing though :/

My parents and siblings are on vacation and I'm feeling rly lonely with my grandparents haha. Its only when they go overseas that I realise I start to miss them, and it has only been one day. hahah i'm glad they're coming back on wednesday ((:

Today was a pretty productive day!(: father's day = more nice food for lunch haha. mm i felt quite bored and lonely thoughhhh cos there isn't anyone to fight with me, or irritate me.. goodness I can't believe I actually miss that! luckily they're only going away for a really short holiday, if not i'd be damn boredddd hahah.

so I had a great day today!:D my parents took leave, so we had father's day lunch at The Cafe Cartel! cos the queue at Swensen's was too long for us to bear haha. I hope my grandparents enjoyed the lunch.. haha. Since western food isn't really their cup of tea... haha. I'm sure my grandma enjoyed the pork ribs though ((: Shopped around a bit after that, before going to school haha. by the time I got there they were doing marching already hahaha. It was quite funny looking at quin lorraine val and ziyan trying to play jalan jalan as they were marching haha. mmm went for clarinet lesson afters, before going to Marina Square for section JTS!(: Changing appetites had pretty good, interesting food :D tried the mudpie as well! haha. I hope everyone enjoyed JTS:D we shd have a section outing sometime soon.. haha(:

back frm dinner with Ms. Teng and Kexin!(: hehh the jap restaurant was quite cool, like using ice cream sticks to order our food, hahaha. we were so fascinated by the system goodnesss. but there was a lot of food, it makes you feel like just ordering everything! Sushi was quite good :D nice dessert as well, macha ice cream with waffle! :D:D had a nice time talking as well, and remembering imc((: whoa after talking to kexin abt IMC I really really miss the times thereeeee. like when we'd be in the staff lounge, and then Kexin would call her mum and talk and talk, and by then I'd be out of the phone booth already and counting down with Ms. Teng when Kexin would come out HAHA. and all the practicing in Burdick Hall and stuff, IMC Food ...lotslotslots. whoo given a chance I'd definitely want to go back again, even if it'd be really different. the environment is just so natural and tranquil (:

okay I've been eating a lot hahaha. I went out to run yesterday night though, partly cos I felt really tired and partly cos I felt really guilty for eating so much during the holidays hahaha. but i walked more than I ran, cos of my brother, who stopped every now and then to tie his shoelaces, do some random thing etc etc. but still it was good to run (:

I am very bored D: grahhhh.

I need to go out, it helps that I'm meeting Ms. Teng & Kexin for dinner tomorrow at the jap restaurant that always advertises its 99cent sushi, at Cathay. haha its so fast, about a year since IMC already!(: imc was really a whole lot of fun.. the surroundings were so surreal, it makes me feel like I'm off the world already, or maybe that's just cos I live in Singapore. I remember the super long food queues, our dorm, the dorm which ms. teng thought was a wardrobe initially HAHA, practicing with Colin Clarke!!, our walk to the Peace Garden, taking photos, the retarded jump shot, flowerpose beside the flowers, my goodnesss all the masterclasses and sectionals and individual lessons... the instructors really helped a lot! hahah i wonder who are the two lucky ones who get to go again this year! It was a really fulfilling experience. And I really enjoyed it.. especially the times we'd slack in the staff lounge as well, which was mostly out of bounds to the rest of the students... And we'd go back to the dorm late, with an explanation that we were seeing our teachers when actually we were munching on Chinese foood! (which we dearly missed), or playing Monopoly or taboo with themmm lol. I miss the time at IMC ... Really wish I could go back again!

Friday's section JTS! Father's day lunch with family as well(: Hahah I THINK I'M GROWING FAT, with minimal exercise the holidays and lots of eating outtttt ): Friday I'll be eating out, TWICE?! wts, I need to play Vball, like HAHA REALLY PLAY, not just pick balls or hear people shouting my name all the timeeee Hahaha.

And I hope I'll be able to make time to visit nycb this friday, I miss holiday pracs and lunching at Coro/ Curry wok/ KAP and going back for band after that. hehhh thinking abt it, i haven't had holiday pracs for a long while.

AND, I need a vacation too! I really really hope the flu strain goes away soon, or the vaccine is manufactured and developed really soon. I am getting really paranoid hahah.

So many things this week, I've been sleeping past 12 consecutively for many days already hahah i think i should be sleeping soon.

hmmm firstly, Band outing!(: on tuesday. went early in the morning cos we were supposed to be facils.. ended up playing Vball and talked and did random stuff, before going into hiding at Subway with zongxian to wait for people to come.. in the end the games initially planned were cancelled cos there werent enough people to play. haha but we still played some of the games within ourselves! cycled.. HAHA. attempt to teach me cycling failed.. but I really do want to learn cycling. Cycled in tandem with guanteng, which was initially pretty scary! Because I didn't know went to start cycling and all, and especially the getting up the bicycle part hahah. But it was fun and relaxing (: BBQed at night, played Vball HAHA I kept getting targetted. I aim to improve on Vball so can play with yall in future hahah. apart from the being targetted part, I have to admit it was actually quite fun! :D many thanks to the zx/gt/sunran/lorraine for organizing the band outing, even though it didn't go as planned, it was still fun!(:

Thursday... HAPPY BIRTHDAY QUINZA!(: hahah surprise at swensens was quite fun:D We put her photo, the one with the chicken rice pose on a photoframe and set it up on the dinner table. when she came in she was greeted by her own face HAHA. the manager/supervisor at swensens was quite humorous as well, he kept thinking it was my birthday lol. Sang birthday song for quinZZIE hahah, had nice food.. Then went to eat more at the coffee connoiseur, where gt and quin ordered some coffee drink, and me and ziyan shared tiramisu! (: initially when we looked at the menu we really wanted to get out of the place, HAHA so much for acting high class xD but we had fun anyway. Its always yall who manage to bring me such laughter, fun and joy, and its really such friendships which I can never let go of no matter what happens. (:

Friday...comm JTS! at billy bombers. 4o bucksss :( hahahah but quite fun! it was epic looking at guanteng and val tearing up the $50 note hahaha. and sarah scouring the menu for the best deals and convincing people to order one-for-one/lunch set HAHA. food was pretty good, but the milkshake was really HUGE! it was nice but too sweet.. tasted like, chocolate ice cream. haha anw, our 'briefing' lasted for a while only. aft our meal we walked around, haha I wanted to do manicure at cathay but I lost the manicure place with the student special.. I think they either closed down or something :( haha so we dispersed and went home.

today (its already sunday lol 12.16 am) clarinet lesson, rushed Subway sandwich in the car, SNYS (Where tutor was late anyway grrrr) pomp & circumstance was quite messy initially, we couldn't do the transition parts, subway oatmeal raisin cookies, bus, home, daddy bought new camera for me :D, swimming, dinner (i love smoked salmon), heartbeat concert, KAP, home, laptop, chocolates, i'm typing like that cos I think I need sleeeeep.

I NEED TO STUDY! yeah i really need to :(

ahhh i'm so tired idk why! I ought to be feeling/doing something more productive after one day of play hahah.

Batch Outing yesterday! (: things went quite impromptu.. hmm I'm so sorry that my house is pretty boring, no games, no movies or anth haha we should go to somebody else's house in future! Anw mmmm people arrived around 4 plus, haha. baked walnut cookies with quin guanteng lionel etc (people who came early). Quin was supposed to help , in the end don't even dare to touch the dough HAHA xD mm walked up and down the slope to fetch people up to my house, a few people played random ball games, while the rest played cards/risk and talked. Food was not bad, mmm (: after dinner we played super random OG style games? Janabel's forfeits were damn sick, like eat leaves ewwwww. I think I should stock nicer leaves in my garden in future, leaves that can actually be eaten hahaha. like curry leaves or smth. I hope benjamin and hongguang didn't suffer from poisoning of some sort hahah. mm played cards after that.. people went home arnd 10.30 plus. anw, hope yall had fun!(: and I will learn to be a better host in future!

today morning went for home team exhibition at suntec for PW with allyssa! hahah it was actually pretty fun yknow, haha i expected it to be rly boring and stuff but it turned out to be rly interactive! had fun taking photos, playing games etc. (:

this week has been pretty great haha. apart frm mugging.. mmm haha had dinner with quin at amkh yest night xD kay i hope she hasn't posted our conversations on her livejournal alrd. (okay she hasn't) haha. anw we had dinner at this hk place, and omg it was super noisy! there was this super loud theme park sound HAHA. i wonder where it came frm though, like why will kitchens make such loud noises hahaha. pretty nice food but hahah not sauce-y enoughhhh (quin was desperately looking for sauce in her rice haha) mmm walked arnd after that, hahaha guess which place we ended up in at the end xD haha talked quite a lot abt random stuff!

mmm today was spent at nlb/school doing PW/mum's office mmm quite a productive day looking for notes.. i need to get down to doing the essay on John Donne alrd.

recently i've been playing the piano after not playing for a really long while.. indulging in the beauty of the music of Chopin and Debussy really makes me feel like picking up the piano again. but i guess with clarinet lessons alrd, i won't have time.. so I guess I'll self learn the pieces i really enjoy. like debussy's children's corner.. (: Doctor gradus ad parnassum! happens i'm playing that for woodwind chamber also. chopin.. waltzes! i want to learn the nocturnes as well.. I rmb listening to one of the nocturnes in the movie 'The Pianist' and wanting to learn it afterward, but never really got down to learning it.. I should rly start learning in the holidays! apart frm playing the clarinet.. haha. I do enjoy Brahms ((: mmm SNYS prac tomorrow! Practicing pomp and circumstance was rly annoying cos I was transposing at sight grrrr why can't they write it in B flat! but anw pomp and circumstance brings back fond memories of days in Nanyang when we would rush down to the quadrangle when the music played xD kay i hope prac goes fine and he doesn't take the piece too fast, i wouldn't be able to catch up.

Okay its the second day of my holiday, and I'm stuck trying to do PW. I can't complete most of the stuff without discussions thoughhhh I think we need to meet up or smth :/

Anw. I had a nice dinner at Aston's with rachel and elise on sunday!(: the food was really reasonably priced and good :D hahah we had a nice time talking at orchard central as well, and listening to their primary school stories. hahaha I'm so sorry I have nothing to share, because I really have nothing to share. I do not even have foggy memories of my childhood, which is quite sad, hahaha. wanted to go shopping, but rachel left us at Taka, FOR OBVIOUS REASONS. hahah. elise left early to meet her mum afters, so I walked arnd orchard myself. Lots of saless! :D oh which reminds me, i spend quite a lot the other day, like aft many many weeks of not shopping. (:

mmm yest was cip at new town pri, and the kids were super cute!!!(: (note: triple exclamation marks) haha. i had so much fun facilitating, though it was very tiring also, and the kids were super mischievous and I got tired chasing them around everywhere. ohh but there was this super cute and smart kid Tristen!(: he's in pri3 only but he's so smart, and he kept telling us about some science related facts hahaha. And he's rly cute as well, but yea he's the kid that makes me go chasing all around to look for him. Haha but I think he's super super cuteeeee. :D

yay i'm so glad the holidays are here! I worked out my schedule and I'm glad I have actl quite a bit of free time to myself for once((: though its prolly cause I haven't filled in the boxes with days with band pracs and stuff since they aren't confirmed yet.. I guess my june holidays will be filled with lots of studying for blocks, homework, pw etc, but yea hopefully i'll have time to go out as well, which reminds me batch outing & band outing next week!:D And go out with friends as welll ((: and section JTS! :D

Yest night, I watched Elddfs' production 'whose life is it anyway', which I thought was a good play! It got me thinking a lot about the question of morality, and whether medical professionals should have the right in making a decision for the patient, if he is in a conscious state of mind.. Throughout the play I felt very deeply for Ken Harrison (the main character, Yiyong did a very good job!) and thought that he should be given the chance to end his life, since its his desire, and its his life... And he felt that life was over for him (he was paralysed from neck down), since he couldn't carry out basic movements and be 'self sustained'.. Most of the time I felt sympathetic toward him and was angered by the doctors' refusal to discharge him, being that a doctor has the responsibility to preserve life. However, toward the end.. my opinion took a turn during Dr. Barr's testification, when she said that she did not think Ken Harrison had made a right decision... Well, which got me to question, whose life is it ultimately? It is really debatable.. and I shall leave it here until I do find a better conclusion to this mind boggling question..

Today morning.. was dry run for P4 camp. headed to commonwealth mrt like really early. hmmm had some fun, but guess the games can be improved to include more participants? (: which I did feedback to the cip exco during debrief and stuff. hahah esp the dodgeball game, where I seriously am concerned about the safety of the participants, since I got hit by the ball twice during the game and I really became rly afraid of the ball after that. okay, or maybe its only me haha. haha I hope it'll be fun as a facilitator whoo :D

okay I think i'm going to fall asleep any moment. mmm we have OG outing!! to underwater world how cool is that :D:D haven't met up with og25 mates in quite a while alreadyyyy so I rly hope we can go out in the june holidays!(:

Arts Fest!(:

arts fest went quite alright hahah i should have asked my parents to watchhhh though, even though nobody's parents actually goes down to watch.. Since we won't be having capriccio in june.. at least they know what i'm doing in school when i stay back for band pracs and stuff. and they can listen to the singing part which ppl commented was nice:D:D hahah. anwww well it was the last perf with seniors.. didn't rly feel like it though.. mm syf felt like the real thing. just when i'm getting used to hcband and stuff, seniors are leaving alrd >< well i don't like goodbyes, nobody does, but i guess its all part of life, and what matters is making the most out of the time you had before saying goodbye, which I hope I did (:

So anw, yest's performance! haha. we spent quite a lot of time taking photos, okay most of the time actually! our performance went okay-ish haha. it wouldn't be the best but i think the singing impressed the audience :D and yea all my photos are on fb once again. pretty screwed up though haha esp the ones that xiangjing took for us towards the end of the album :( nvm we take again next time!!:D which reminds me i think i rly need a new camera mine is super screwed.

hmmmm I had a delightful weekend!(: on saturday I finally resumed clarinet lesson after being really lazy for a long while, haha and i realized how inaccurately i had been practicing brahms, doubled the tempo HAHA I was like !! but anw brahms is really a nice piece! especially the 1st movement of sonata no.1 (allegro appassionato) where the feeling is really intense.. I enjoy practicing it:D mmmm. now i've got to practice Stravinsky's three pieces for solo clarinet (the first mvt) I don't think its easy to interpret though.. hmmmm. The second and third are much more difficult technically. At night, I went out to Vivo City with grandparents/younger sis. haha such a long time since i've been there.. Its quite far frm my house. We didn't have much time though, because by the time we got there it was quite late already. Hehhhhh so shopped arnd really really fast.. met sunran there too! haha. Visited candy empire, that place makes me feel like its miniature chocolate factory. the sweets are so appetizing, but yea pretty overpriced since its all imported.

sunday night, went out for dinner at fish & co for mr.leng's birthday. Hahah was feeling really really awkward initially because it was only me and sunran frm ny j1s! and the atmosphere was so tense and quiet HAHA. it got better after mr. leng came cos by being super camwhore, he really amused us haha. Anw my dinner was super super filling, I had teriyaki salmon and halfway through I was super full already. best part of the dinner was when the fish&co waiters brought the cake out and made him stand on the chair with this sparkler, and sang this birthday cheer for him hahaha. the whole restaurant was staring at us! the cake was super grossss because the candle melted till its ends and the wax started dripping over the cake and on the table.. damnn gross. Haha and not forgetting the super gay present which aroused the attention of several passer bys in plaza sing. What a birthday treattt haha.

okay todayyy's mummy's birthday HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUMMY <3 We just went out for dinner at yingthai palace, thai food, at purvis street! its really nice food, the dessert was great (mango with glutinous riceee yummmm) was really full by the end haha. food was rly great,I have this thing for spicy stuff nowadays. mm purvis street has nice food, apart from the evidently expensive classy french/italian restaurants. finally managed to source a place for rachel's birthday treat. It's like, one month frm her birthday already hahaha.

Okay yea i'm in no school mood alreadyyyy next week's holiday! (: Time to go out, catch up with friends, and of course do what we're obliged to.. mug for blocks haha.

tired tired tired!

super glad its friday, kinda really needed a break from the hectic 9 weeks, haha. end of term next week, fast! really really fast. like a while ago only, it was orientation, then school, march holidays, more school, SYF!.. The events really pass in a whirl, and it has already made up a quarter of our hc life. i've really enjoyed hc life, the friends I've made and grew closer to, and of course band! ((: i guess i'll blog more about it when i have the time.. but for now this will suffice as a summary of my life in hc so far.

mmm so yesterday evening was snys prac.. hehhh super stressful because my sectionmates didn't come, leaving me alone, AGAIN! ): Played debussy and sightread elgar and haydn, which got really bad because i was transposing at sight for pomp and circumstance and I really couldn't transpose at sight, and nobody was there to help me also ughhhhh. And prac was really stressful i just couldn't wait for it to end. pieces are enjoyable though, i just need more time to read the scores.

stayed in school today to practice a bit, played clarinet duet with liuzhen! haha some pieces are quite cuteeee!:D can't wait to play them. played some tennis with quin and guanteng, and seriously half the time was spent looking for the tennis balls which rolled out of the court cos we hit it too high up HAHA. next time we should play some other game instead xD went out for dinner afters with band people then rushed back for dance night, audi was super full by then. hmm.

okay yayyy i have the weekend to myself :D prolly dinner with the band on sunday! And that's about it.. I WANT JUNE HOLIDAYS NOW:D

CSM today was rly boring, spent much time stoning around with quinza, finding different paths to go back to college to get her food, and when all our methods exhausted, we gave up and sat down instead, and occassionally hijacked the milo van. actl that sounds more like her and not me haha. got a chance to sit down and talk to tabby!!(: long time since i've done that already, everytime we're rushing off somewhere else, and don't rly have time to talk. I got updated quite a bit, and then we talked about how much we learnt / (how much she's learning) from the DM experience, and really I can't help but feel a tinge of nostalgia.. how much I actually miss the whole feeling of it..how when you've just adapted to it and its time to pass down. ): I miss the comm experience.. something which i really took a lot away from , hmmmm.

after that, we had batch lunch at plaza sing(: Swensens! my food kinda sucked though, somehow whenever i eat with others, the food they eat always seem more appealing than mine, I wonder why. hehhhh so we had lunch, the table didn't really facilitate conversation though! mm had ice cream afterward, belgian chocolate chip i love:D Went back to school, had band prac. arts fest nxt week, hehhh. i miss presyf band pracs many many. the times when we really slogged it out, had gastric because it was getting really late and i hadn't had dinner, and was rly happy when the mwos got food for us :D and late night walks back to college band room and dinners at kap on friday and stufffff really really miss!

anyhows tomorrow's csm, i presume its going to be really boring and a waste of time. haha four years of csm alrd! the only thing i'm looking forward to is band prac, haha i realize i've been looking forward to it for really long already, like true blue band prac:D:D syf pieces for art fest!

anw today I had a sudden inspiration to write.. I composed a poem for myself, haha. Its like when there's this sudden wave of inspiration that hits you (probably from overwhelming emotions) and words overflow your mind and you know you just have to write it out? I thought a lot on the bus ride home, thought a lot about stuff and its funny how when I think I almost forget to press the bell. well so I wrote and I wrote, and I admit I can't write as well as other people, but the therapeutic effect you get from writing is the same isn't it. sometimes i wish i could write better so that i could express myself more appropriately but i guess that flair for writing is inborn and you can't really change it.

i am so bored but i should be studying for math instead of appearing offline and convoing instead HAHA (yes i'm appearing offline). but i am so bored so bored of math, not that I am extremely secure of it but still, BORED. D:

anw today we went to uncle's house, it being jarrod's first month celebration on thursday, and i haven't seen him since he was new born in the hospital! that makes about 3 weeks. AND for the first time, I carried him! I was forced to carry him la, rahhh. cos my grandma insisted that I take a photo of me carrying him, so I had no choice hahah. i have this phobia of carrying babies/animals/touching animals or any other living being for that matter. because there's this feeling of something moving in your hands, and also because you're accorded the responsibility of protecting it from danger. haha so yupppp you can imagine my fright upon being forced to carry the baby in my arms, AND worse still taking many many photos with him. I probably looked rly shocked because my arms were really stiff hahahah. i was trying really hard to smile and laugh it off HAHA. though prolly my aunt/uncle could feel my insecurity , and i felt quite bad for it after that!):

after that, I went to play basketball nearby with my cousins and siblings. long time since i actually played a sport, considering PE lessons are really pointless. hahah we played three on three xD and it was quite funny looking at my 1.43m tall younger sister trying to shoot hoops haha. she actually got one in though! sat on the swing, my favourite playground equipment :D:D gives you the sort of adrenaline rush, okay I feel like such a kid.

sooo yup, went out to the supermarket afterward, bought ALOT of foood. to last throughout lessons and all. And went home, attempted to do more math. seriously i think nobody relaxes so much before a lecture test but i'm rly rly boreddddd.

okay I should stop ranting, the above chunk was written cos i'm really really bored currently, i normally do not detail my life so explicitly HAHA.

oh and I can't wait for tests to be over; want to go to tampines 1, i haven't been there yet!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GAY!:D

Haha yea so the poem was written for gay, and i'm too lazy to post it here haha maybe tonight? :D but anw it was srsly very funny, cos me and quin started smsing in rhyme and stuff HAHA. Yea yest's surprise! Ziyan got cake and quin was having embarrassing moments carrying the huge gay banana toy hahaha. hmmmm. took photos/ cutting cake was super fail, we didn't even have a knife initially hahah and had to borrow from council people. but anw the cake was good, me and quin finished up almost a quarter during break, then went back nycb with tcc and had high tea with cake:D hahah. yeppp went back nycb! haven't gone back in about a month, having been rly busy with syf. they were playing american beauties.. hmm the feeling of being in nycb vs hcband is super different! hahah had fun looking at juniors play and playing random pieces... hmmm I can't wait for appa :D alumni band! Hahah i hope we're playing something nice thoughhhh idk what we're choosing.

anw after that we went to amkhub, for quin's long awaited food fair. HAHA. the one that aunties look forward to with bated breath. haha food was alrightishhh, each a cup was better :D we spent most of our time at artbox though! looking at the super pretty merchandise. bought socks/ pencilbox/ cute stationery :D the socks are really super cute, esp the ones with faces!! :D:D quin spent most of her time being fascinated over panda merchandise hahah. artbox has super pretty stufffff :D yoghurt after that, then stared at food . I realize I haven't written anything non food related, apart from artbox.

okay soooo, there's a math test on monday and econs (again!) on thursday. csm on wednesday, island creamery?:D And the term's going to end! it has been really really fast. and this is super random but aft ct session yesterday, well i kinda realized the need to reflect on the past six months. srsly half a year has passed by really really quickly. Haha I think i'll do it when school term ends and i've got proper time to think about evth I need to reflect upon. (:

Math is immensely boring, despite the amount of satisfaction you gain from solving problem after problem.

heeee I came home early today, after our hour long sex ed talk HAHA. i'm glad we aren't the only class having to go through it.. it just happens that we're one of the first classes. Meaning that there isn't some problem with our class' mindset on sex ed/ wtv, which we presumed was the reason why we had to attend the talk initially.

I think integration is the hardest thing i've come across so far, esp the volumes part of it. I can't see how we can apply that to real life though, srsly. haha that day i was thinking that i shouldn't have taken math.. but then again, econs in univ. require alevel math. yea... But honestly I'm so glad i didn't taken any science subjects. This is my personal perspective though. hahah. humanities really appeal to me a lot more and I enjoy the study of humanities. partly because you can't (and don't have to!) study for stuff like Lit, but also because it really makes you THINK on the spot.

anw econs test today was killer, as usual haha. he wins at making us feel insecure about our answers, handsdown.

Hello :D

I had a nice lunch/ afternoon with quinza and ziyan at bugis. we fulfilled our mission within a short period of time hahaha (: lunch was at fisherios, fish and chips I wanted to try for quite a long whileee. super filling food. we walked around, accomplished our mission HAHA okay it sucks having to be so lowkey about it, did something really embarrassing. like taking a photo at TCC, ie the coffee place. haha at first we attempted to take ourselves, then this security guard volunteered to help us take, to think we were afraid he'd report us initially hahaha. walked around, faceshop! haha hmm we were scammed by green tea ice cream after that (it used to be much nicerrr) before we finally went home haha. i want to find a day to go out proper shopping thoughhhh (After math test!) and get everything i've been wanting/needing.

i've got zero motivation to study now :/ econs test's on tuesday and luckily i found out that it isn't going to be MCQ as I previously presumed, so helloo econs for the next one day.

anyways, I've been reeling from post syf.. idk what to call it. hahah I've been severely lacking of energy and I go to sleep really really early, and when I say early I mean 9 pm, because I can't keep awake after 9 plus. And I suffer from a bout of tiredness in the afternoon, around 2 plus as well. there's something severely wrong with me. hahah because I used to be able to stay alive until 10 plus and go online, but now all I want to do is sleep when the clock strikes 9 :O which is btw why I'm not participating in the mass of facebook comments of my syf photos on facebook hahah.

I'm glad for the vesak day holiday tomorrow :D Haha. even if its going to be spent studying for econs! I can't wait for band prac to restart because I know I won't be able to stand going home really early even if the thought of it does appeal to me (okay this is really contradicting) , and basically not being around with band people, TCC etcetc hahah.

oh and I finally got down to reading this article, Gibson's 'Disneyland with the death penalty' on his perspective on Singapore. http://www.wired.com/wired/archive/1.04/gibson.html I can't say I fully agree with him on his opinions, but some parts of his article are definitely thought provoking.. authoritarian, paternal, draconian? or just sheer obedience.. hmmm. SYF!:D

Can't believe its over so fast, like all in the matter of one day. Haha anyway this SYF, despite being the second and last, was a very different experience for me altogether. Somehow this time round, there weren't feelings of nervousness or anxiety, all I can remember is just everything working like clockwork, the morning rush and the whole hecticness of it, boarding the bus, reaching RP, taking photos, tuning, then waiting at the backstage while VJC played... then finally our turn. hahah apart from the fact that we missed a beat, I do think we played really well.. the dynamic contrasts were indeed moving (: The singing as well!! I will really remember the singing, from how we refused to sing to the singing session and finally yesterday.

So anw, we attained a gold award (: well I kind of expected it.. but honestly the award didn't matter in the end. you know how people say, "the result doesn't matter ultimately, the process is the most important.." Its only when you've been through it that you really understand the essence of that saying. Well, and i'd say if I hadn't been through nycb's SYF, that saying would be nothing but an empty shell. However, nycb's syf 09 really taught me a lot. despite the results, the juniors went on to celebrate and their morale was never once shattered. Outsiders may find it puzzling, but yet what truly matters is the friends you've made during the process, the whole process and the friendships forged throughout, the discovery of your potential, the stretching of your limits.

HC's syf has just proved once again to me that in a competition.. well the idea of a competition is definitely nerve wrecking.. but really, at the end of the day, who really takes into consideration whether you've attained a gold/gwh? (the distinction between the two really is a fine line btw) its the friends you've made in the process, and learning to push yourself beyond the limits you've defined for yourself that is the most valuable. which is probably one of the rationale behind having SYFs.. It may seem pointless to be toiling so hard for that few minutes on stage, but hey, think again, is it really just that award you get, or is it much much more than that? And I've got to say, SYF really does teach me something (: I am indeed truly happy for having been through the SYF process, for being given a chance to go through it one last time.. for having learnt something out of it.

wellll and without these people I think SYF wouldn't be that meaningful to me already.. firstly, our section's SL yiyi! haha. okay he prolly doesn't read this but I really thank him for putting in so much effort into coordinating us so that every single part can play well, for taking us in the morning before national anthem and stuff... and i really do appreciate everything he did for our section. And secondly, my section! haha for going through everything together, I think we're the best section everxzxz. AND I'd never forget TCC :D hahahah. for all our walking to salt together etc, going for dinner, talking and band pracs haha. band has meant something to me in that way, in the fact that i know there are always people around me who'll not hesitate to listen to my rants and frustrations etc. and also the seniors, awesome committee who never forgets to buy food for us when we have pracs which end really late.

I've been through two syfs myself, witnessed two syfs (nycb 05/09) and I'd say yesterday was a memorable closure to me. (: Because I can see how I've matured in my thinking.. haha. During nycb's 07 syf, the first I went through, I'd say the result really did matter to me.. because it really was a benchmark of how well our band was. And it was the most significant one to me as well, because I did feel a rooted sense of belonging to nycb at that time, and hence the result did matter a lot to me. I felt a lot for nycb at that time, which explained my outburst of happiness when we attained a gold award. the second syf I went to was nycb's this year.. where I learnt about the value of a competition, and finally having been through yesterday's I've got to say I have indeed understood the true meaning behind competitions.

I'm glad for the friends I've made throughout the process, I'm glad for going through the many many band practices (i've never had so many band pracs in my life!), I really want to relive the memories of preparing for SYF. (:

I feel like i've accomplished a lot today hahah i haven't had a day where i have nowhere to go to and all I can do is stay at home :D which is pretty cool btw hahah since i haven't experienced it for a long while. hmmm.. I managed to catch up on work and read the newspapers from start to end for the first time in a few weeks. probably 2? Hehh I want to go out though.. to get a camera! i've been wanting to do so cos my camera is on the verge of expiration what with its oversensitivity and queer lens retracting tendencies; sony is having cool sales on its T-series ( i think!) 12mp cameras i really want to get one!

and yay i'm glad i edited my PI quite a fair bit. hahah I hope its alright. Apart from the fact that the word count's pretty annoying, cos i have to manually count without the footnotes.

So I guess we'll end up going out to get the angel mortal gifts instead.
yea we had band prac just now and I guess we're playing better as the days pass :D So yup hopefully we'll be able to keep it up. we had pizza! (: haha welfare has never been better manzxzx. I had a wild SHOE chase after that though, thanks to guanteng quin and irene hahaha.

I'm in an efficient mood now, efficient enough to complete c-africa (a) meeting minutes (b) donation drive proposal :D:D I'm pretty excited about C-Africa. 4 weeks to complete our fundraising and stuff though so yea, we've really got to work hard!

anyhow, today we had really few lessons.. I took vaccinations after school and it was super scary because it was the first time i'd taken FOUR jabs at one shot, like hello four jabs! usually i'd have one and be screaming already. haha i don't know how I did it today.. It was pretty relaxing though! haha i'm glad the most dreaded part is over. hmm i popped by subway after that to get cookies for TCC hahah I was really sad that there wasn't white chip though, because I know ziyan likes white chip and I like white chip tooooooo! ): but yea subway cookies still , <3!

band prac! Hmmm 10 more days to syf! :D okay i kinda can't wait because I KNOW, I HOPE and I BELIEVE we can do well because everyone's working hard and i really do hope we get the desired results in the end... Yea. it has been a great time toiling all these while, going home late in the evenings because of pracs and stuff... because i guess it will be a long time before we experience the same feelings again. (: Go HC BAND!

after band, my parents picked me up and we went to united square. Because it has been such a long while since i've been out I felt pretty happy for once, i sound like a really deprived kid but i guess its cos i've been really really busy for this period of time. I had hazelnut gelato which gives me sheer bliss and an infinite number of utils. (note level of deprivation.) before I got home and started being efficient and all.

So this week has been a very tiring one, I can't believe its Thursday already yet tomorrow's Friday.

Today was the first time this week I actually came home at an insanely early time of 2. The previous days when there was band/sectionals I reached home at 9. Well I've been feeling really detached from home for a couple of reasons (a) I haven't visited my newly born baby cousin (jerold)! I hope to do so laterrrrr. (b) I didn't even know he was born until like, 6 hours later when I asked my mum (c) I wasn't there for my sister's op (well even though she's back now..) And yea that's about it. Sighhhh I haven't really been reading much of the news recently as well, just a really quick flip in the morning before rushing off to school. HELLO QUINZA i'm really living under my iRock already! :(

on one hand I can't wait for SYF to be over, but yet on the other I've to agree with quinza, I'm pretty much enjoying the process of preparing for it! At least I get that band feeling.. well its not nycb yet though, I guess it can never be. but stilll. Its a nice warm feeling (: its tiring to sit through sectionals and band practices almost every day in the week but come to think of it, it isn't that bad when you know you have people BEHIND you (HAHA. refer to TCC!) literally and well figuratively (: I guess all these would be the last time I'd ever experience it, since its my second and last SYF already. Wellll I hope my conviction can carry me through these two weeks! (:

I have been living under my iRock for a week already, HAHA. Really busy with band, and schoolwork and whatnot. SYF SYF SYF! last three weeks, hopefully we'll chiong. AND self reminder: to practice with a metronome and to commit and dedicate myself to preparing for SYF for three weeeks. (: we can do it, hopefully we can!

So anw, haha. I've been having fun with TCC, or The Cool Club HAHA. Rename soon lehhzxzx if we can think of better names. without them i wouldn't be having that much fun in band HAHA. Hmmmm club outing soon yes yes :D :D

So anw its the end of our long weekends (sadly!) but I guess it was pretty well spent haha.

Good Friday! Good friday was spent doing work + going out at night, exclusive club outing!:D hahaha. Eh actually we should give ourselves a cooler name :D So anw, out we went to dinner at nyny! haha. we really traumatized quite a few waitresses and the people around la, especially our bloody eyeballs drink and our self timed shots hahahah. where we totally burst into laughter in a few of them when the waitress would want to pop in half way and realize we were taking photos. And our cotton candy (: hahaha. Really laughed a lot! (: hmmm we went to esplanade to take a romantic stroll after that, and then proceeded to pool at marina square. Hahaha it was so funny cos all of us couldn't play pool properly and were totally making a fool at ourselves, especially during the times when we could not contain the excitement and exhilaration upon scoring (: I had a great time with you guys, so thanks lots to quinza, guanteng (GF!), ziyan and val for making my day:D

okay i'm feeling really tired currently i should sleep soon after posting haha. Anw i've been pretty busy with band this week.. i guess SYF will be my priority.. until SYF's over. 7 may! (: well yesterday while penning my dreams and goals for SYF, I realised what I want is not just a GWH.. probably that's not even what I want. I guess what's most important is that everyone grows closer through this process, and really just play our best on the day itself, so that we'll be able to accept whatever result we're given. That, to me, means much more than just a GWH. :)

so anw i've been enjoying band this week! haha learnt quite a lot from the two sessions with the conductor. learnt how to shape phrases and play music, and most importantly learnt from his analogies! I love the images that he provides us with haha. makes me imagine the music in a way i never did before. And i think we played much better this week. (:

yea so anw i got home approximately, one hour ago. i'm feeling quite hungry even though i ate dinner at 9 haha. i missed dinner with gt and quinza though! cos my mum left salmon for me and insisted that i eat it haha. nvm I'm looking forward to tmrw :D:D hahah.

haha i can't believe how i look forward to the weekends every week, and its really exhilarating when the weekend arrives haha. :D sadly its gone in a matter of time. hmm at least its a great break from school. i'm listening to nycb's syf recording, and I almost cried just now listening to hymn. the first note in overture was ultimate perfection :) my section sounded really good at the soli part!

you guys really sounded great. i can feel the emotions, how you all managed to touch our hearts with the music yesterday. :) really you all are a platinum band! <3

sigh i've lots to say about syf.. I feel a lot, its overwhelming, and the only way to convey it is through words, and more words.

yesterday i reflected more on SYF, and this morning I read posts on bandfusion.sg.. Its really heartening to know that there are people out there support nycb and who believe that nycb has done well, and we deserve so much more <3

I am extremely proud of my juniors, for never failing to remain bonded as a band, regardless of the circumstances. Yesterday, I honestly heard the best of their playing at Singapore Conference Hall, and I was touched by their music. It reminded me of all the times we worked hard just to attain our goal at the end.. The music touched my heart like nothing else did.
You all are platinum, forever and ever.

I'm really glad that nycb managed to overcome this obstacle together, because in their hearts they know they have done their best and put in their utmost effort to play music that sincerely touches the audience. It is easy to hold your head high up after a victory, but it is another to hold your head high up even after things do not turn out your way. But I'm glad NYCB has that resilience to do it, to rebound and recharge. Only a few hours after SYF, we were celebrating at KAP. What we were celebrating was not our victory, what we felt might not be euphoria and jubiliance; rather we celebrated the fact that our whole band had come together as one, what we felt were the bonds and support from fellow band members thats unwavering in all times. Regardless of what we had been credited with, we know in our hearts that we are platinum and thats enough to suffice.

The tears may have been shed, but after that, it is time to move on, fight back and show them who we are.

And for a very simple reason- the passion lives on...

well I must say i'm really proud of all my juniors for having worked so hard, put in so much effort, and never having given up throughout the whole course of preparing for syf. the road was tough, it was full of obstacles, but nonetheless you all have always hung on and never stopped believing in yourself. thats why i still believe in you all and I believe you all have done your best! (: hymn was really heartwarming, emotional.. and it brought back lots of memories of nycb that I hold dear to my heart, that I will always hold dear. I'm really happy to see all of you bonded as one band, and that's what matters the most! even in times of crisis and challenge, you all have never failed to remain optimistic and that spirit and resilience is really admirable.

as an alumni, what else can I say but that I'm extremely proud of all of you! I say this from the bottom of my heart, and I really really am proud to say I was from NYCB and will always be.

so keep up the fighting spirit! you all still have great things to accomplish, so go ahead and chase your dreams! I believe you all can do it!:D

hello(:

we had Fac CIP yesterday.. collecting newspapers at AMK flats. Haha had lots of fun with elise and rachel lol. we were rejected quite a number of times though.. Sigh. most people weren't very responsive to the collection.. but well we had quite a few flats where we got lots of old newspapers :)

hmm so this week will be nycb's SYF! :D hope they will jiayou and just do their best, and as i quote tabby- that they will "touch the audience with their music". :) Yea i guess that should be the ultimate goal.. after all, is that not the purpose of music? music is not just a form of entertainment, its a means by which people communicate with each other, is serves a purpose of bonding and gives us hope in the darkest times.

Well I really do miss my times in NYCB. the feeling is very different now, well no matter how hard i try to imagine its hard to imagine i'm part of nycb and the syf's mine and all, because sigh it isn't. :( well nostalgia, nostalgia of syf 2007. Its hard to feel the jubilation and exhilaration i'd similarly feel if i were part of them already. I wish I were just one year younger and were able to participate in this year's SYF haha. anyhowsss juniors jiayou for nycb and play your hearts out (:

Hello its the end of the week yet again (:

well so anw this week passed by pretty fast, with only four days of school since wednesday was founders day:D rachel came over to bake and we made nice oreo cheesecake, vienesse shortbread and chocolate chip cookies! lovelove. The vienesse shortbread tasted really good and the piping was not bad for our first attempt haha.

Today in school was a really laughter filled day because we laughed a whole lot. probably cos of the fact that its friday and time to relax :D but anyhows I love my 'clique' haha we should come up with a cooler name for ourselves lol. stephanie i hope you're recovering please get well soon! :)

Hmm we had band prac today, did quite a bit of overture no.1. new piece = practice! well i hope we manage to pull it off even though we only have five weeks away. i'm currently feeling anxious about nycb's syf! I hope our batch will be able to get tickets to watch them. And i hope our juniors do our bestttt :D what can beat a result that ultimately reflects your best? its not just a gold or gold with honours anymore, its anything you can imagine.

had dinner (curry wok!) with quinza lorraine guanteng :D haha felt super mean for leaving the rest behind oops. but i miss my batchh I really yearn for a batch outing sometime. Haha. its a nice feeling to be talking about the past and well, stuff that only our batch got to experience. :)

okay tomorrow i've got Fac CIP! haha 630 breakfast with elise and deyi, i'll have to wake up really early again. I hope I can make time for work in the afternoon though! i have some homework for this weekend.

my 900th post! :D

Haha its funny how time passes so quickly, its almost 4 years since I started my blog (I started in sec one). this blog holds a lot of memories for me.. its like a tangible form of my intangible thoughts. blogging pens down such thoughts.. haha. its how i'll never forget stuff like how I used to rush and complain about projects in the past, how I'll never forget nice experiences that I've been through as well :) hence I've never been able to delete this blog, no matter how appealing livejournal is haha.

So anyways, it was snys concert yesterday. i'm quite glad its over even though i think i'll miss hansel and gretel/farandole quite a fair bit. first orchestra pieces i've ever played! :) I regret not taking many many photos though... everything went pretty fast and there wasn't a lot of time haha.

school started today :( sigh to the end of holidays. hmmm I'm glad wednesday is a holiday (for us!) though:D I hope rachel and elise will be coming over to bake, we've made arrangements already :) haha i guess it'll be really funnn!

Hmm as I was reading 'The Time Traveler's Wife' (which, btw, has been quite an exciting read..) a few thoughts struck me. If I could time travel, and see and talk to myself in the past... What would I do or change? But then I realized that a time traveler doesn't have the ability to change things that happened in the past.. he/she only has the ability to be in that scenario that happened many years back.

If I could travel through time, I'd want to see myself when I was in primary school and tell myself to play hard as much as I work hard... I remember being really particular about my results when I was in primary school and working really hard for academic stuff. Haha.. I guess I'm still pretty much like that but I've learnt to play as well. so if I could travel through time, I'd definitely advise my younger self to play as much as I worked.

If I could travel through time, I'd want to go back to sec 1 and all the times and practices during band. I guess I'd tell myself to treasure all the band pracs, pay attention during band pracs and not fall asleep or watch the clock etc etc. I remember getting tired of band pracs some of the times.. so if I could travel through time I'd tell myself to cherish the band pracs.

If I could travel through time, I'd tell myself to treasure life in Nanyang :) well i really miss nanyang now that I've left and become part of its alumni. life in nanyang was really fun, with great teachers, friends, CCA.. even though sometimes I'd lament about feeling really tired in ny, deep down I know how ny has actually been shaping and moulding my character. well i miss Nanyang and if I could travel through time, I'd definitely advice myself to treasure life there.

If I could travel through time, I'd want to relive the time during SYF! That was in year 2007, and we had such fun preparing for SYF... I remember Jericho and Night Safari.. My visit to night safari with some juniors and our shouting for Jericho and how can I forget the jubilant atmosphere when it was announced that our band achieved Gold :) I really want to go back in time, and well, feel that exact feeling I felt at that time.

If I could travel through time, I'd want to go back to our concert Limelight! where esplanade was filled to the brim and there were many audience out there. And we played our best, and after everything was over, I cheered till I cried.. It was such as splendid feeling, something like finishing a marathon, something like completing a mountain trek up the Everest.. something victorious, triumphant and the sorts. It was really a great night, knowing that it'd be our last concert and its at Esplanade and there were many people out there waiting to listen to us.

at this point, however, it strikes me that even if we were to travel through time.. would everything be the same? would we be able to feel what we felt.. would we be able to feel what we want to feel? its hard to imagine how one can traverse the boundaries of time.. according to physics, 'Time is relative'. I don't understand this statement, though, because firstly I'm not a physics student, and secondly all along we have measured time according to clocks. In reality, time seems to be absolute.. but is it really? Well I guess this concept is interesting if its explored.. but for now I don't think I'd be ready for the technical jargon and physics concepts.

Its impossible to travel through time, so as cliche as it may sound... all we can do is to cherish the present :) everyday is a gift, that's why its known as the 'present'. Knowing that we cannot travel through time and relive the times, we can only treasure the good times as memories; something that lives on with us throughout our life time. So that even if we do not have the ability to travel through time to relive those enjoyable moments, we are still able to enjoy every minute of our life. :)

and maybe that's the beauty of our inability to travel through time.

Hello :D

yep so finally I visited nycb today and i really really miss our band pracs! its so different from HC.. sigh. the homely, warm feeling that ny band pracs manage to evoke in you.. is something that I guess playing elsewhere can't give.. that's my take, for now, at least. anw it was one of the awesomest band pracs i think i've heard since i last went back.. probably cos most of the time i only manage to stay for a while. but anw, yea the juniors are working really hard and i'm really proud of them and i can only hope they peak at the right time, 3rd april, and achieve their goal(: I believe you all can do it so jiayou!:D

Apart from that I went for snyo concert yest night, pirates was super cool :D ziyan and i started feeling really lousy about ys.. sighhh. i really hope we do better on sunday for our concert!

okay anw I finished reading My Sister's Keeper (: sad and unexpected ending though! but when i thought about it.. I guess its fate that ultimately played a part in the ending.. and isn't fate something we don't have power over? Well.. I guess it wasn't a perfect ending, but in the story i guess there will be no perfect ending. when somebody gains, somebody loses. that's part of my thoughts on the novel. I'm hoping to get Keeping Faith soon.. It seems like the other title most recommended, apart from my sister's keeper that is. hehh.

okay tomorrow's fridayyyyy :D its the end of the holidays though. sigh and it'll be back to term 2. SCHOOL :(

Hello I'm back from OG outing:D awesome outing, even though there were only half the people present.. haha i miss orientation days! it was pretty fun talking to everyone and catching up and stuff. (: had fun bbqing, eating and posing with crazy xueyan lol. hmmm played a little bit of taboo before leaving after that.

so anw, holidays so far have been quite a lot of fun. Hmm we had a mini section outing yesterday after sectionals in the morning. while going home I met Ms. Tan! Caught up a little bit, and when I was at plaza sing I saw my previous colleagues (that sounds so formal!) who I worked with last holiday at John Little. So coincidental.. but anw I had some fun talking to them. Holidays have been really lots of catching up and I hope that's the way it continues to be. Haha hopefully we can have comm lunch on thursday or smth :D miss you guys!

hmm yea apart from that my holiday homework is progressing pretty smoothly, I've managed to complete my GP essays with a tad of inspiration. I still haven't written the poem for lit though, where's inspiration when I need you :(

okay yea right. tomorrow will be going swimming with xueyan HAHA. And snyo concert at night! Eroica.. the 2nd time I'll be hearing it? hmm. i hope i manage to squeeze in time for shopping this week I still haven't been shopping sighhh.

I realised I've been posting pretty much hehh.

hmmm so yest night i came home pretty late after talentime! hmm it got a little draggy and stuff so I left early, before results were announced and stuff. Haha anyway we (me, elise, sam and deyi) were having lots of fun being mean critics at the back lol xD luckily we were sitting right at the back.. because we really talked and laughed a lot and generally weren't paying attention to the concert, except for occassional times when they were really good/entertaining, i.e. the beatboxing group, I hope they won something! hmm. yea towards the end we were just laughing and talking blabla. and deyi totally embarrassed us by cheering for Karen, in this super high pitched voice that I don't even know whether I can reach. Hahah.

So anw holidays start tomorrow! (: sectionals in the morning, which means I can't go for the juniors' band exchange.. heh. And then we probably have an outing in the afternoon, just that we're not sure what to do. maybe we'd end up with a meal or smth haha.

hmm so its friday the 13th :O We had a really scary econs test today. It turned out to be 50 MCQs in 1.5 hours.. but anyway we left right after we finished completing our questions because (a) i was really hungry (b) it was freezing cold (c) we didn't know how to do! haha and we were like if this is considered a mild test, what would be the average standards :O hehh maybe its just friday the 13th haha.

had snys at night, we were late for like 15 mins because we were having dinner at prata house just like on wednesday. haha we ordered exotic pratas, ziyan with her ice cream prata and me and val with chocolate tissue.. Nice dinner even though we were really stressed up over being late and stuff haha xD i'm pretty glad concert's on 22nd, next sunday! (: after that we'll (hopefully) have a break from practices for a little while at least.

okay so anw, i'm really glad term one is over :D lots of orientation, classes etc. I'm starting to get used to Hwachong already.. I hope I'll be able to work hard in term 2 and not lose my stamina already haha.

Hello yay tomorrow is friday I'm really happy:D

hmm so anw, we had cross country yesterday. walked like almost all the way until the end when we ran a little, because we were near the finishing and everyone was looking at us haha. went off with val and ziyan for prata before SNYS:D stuffed ourselves full before prac. I was really tired during prac though, didn't have the mood to play. plus it was mainly working on the strings, so the winds were pretty free... hehh. ended early though, had to bus home I hate buses which take such a long time to come.

today we had like an hour of lesson in the morning followed by a really really long break before geog. Lit was really exciting though. Mr perry actually took an onion to class to show us the image of the onion in Caroline Duffy's (I hope I got that right) Valentine. xD interesting image I must say. geog! rocks, rocks again, identified rocks which are granite 90% of the time, otherwise it'd be sandstone. we have another geog test after the march hols I'm determined not to fail hahaha.

okay tomorrow is a long, long day of lessons. plus I have snys at night, heh. I'm really looking forward to cca orientation on saturday though :D. should be really fun!

hah. hmmmm so it was half day today, fire drill got us totally stressed out. hmm we had math test this morning, and surprise geog test during geog period :O to think it was supposedly a data response question or something like that. anyway yay I'm glad we've cleared tests, except for Econs quiz this wed. Hmmm everyone's in a holiday mood already though since next week will be march hols. can't wait! (: Hopefully we'll be able to hold an OG outing! i was thinking of nycb sec4 outing also hahah but it remains unplanned unless we manage to come up with it by this week. hmm. next week will be busy preparing for concert on the 22nd though! Practices and more practices, but i guess we really do need it.

I'm currently doing my GP compre which seems like this never ending list of questions, even though it only has 20 questions, okay i take back 'only', because each question is made up of many sub parts and the questions are really pointless and unconventional. Such as, "Why does 'fan fic' exist?" and "Is 'fan fic' always naughty?" And I can't complete the compre now because its driving me crazy. when i answer it feels like... I'm arguing with somebody for the sake of arguing, hahaha.

On the other hand I just had (another) tiring day which includes breakfast, work, lunch, snys, clarinet lesson and coming home. i think i can define my days in technical terms already haha. anyhow snys was fun because we played hansel and gretel. (: Though I was the only one playing and hence I had to push the volume a lot. mmm. talked to ziyan and val a little after that. Haha gave ziyan her gay belated birthday cake:D i feel really bad for giving it to her like almost one week after her birthday though hahah. Hmm I read 'my sister's keeper' after which, it seems like a nice read though i'm very bothered by the issue in the story. I have only read the first chapter but I already feel sad for Anna :( Sigh but I guess life's like that, it just isn't perfect, there are so many blemishes. it may seem spotless, flawless on the surface but beneath it are blemishes that are invisible to the naked eye.

Okay hmmm I shall aim to complete my GP compre and study for math lecture test. I'll write to my new found mortals (for band) tooo hahaha. I hope I get a letter from my angel on monday :D

hmmm so i've been pretty busy with CCA lately. I'm exhausted almost every day once i return home. hehh school isn't that bad though.. I had fun learning fac dance today even though I can't catch up with the tempo. Its so fast. Had sectionals yesterday and band today. i like the slow parts of hymn to the sun (: sounds really peaceful.

I need to finish my gp essay! I've been writing like two pages of incoherent arguments though, I feel like redoing everything but I'm too tired to redo. I just hope it isn't graded :/

I had snys practice today, shouldn't have rushed because they ended up playing hansel and gretel after beethoven. I ended up studying geog while the orch. was playing beethoven haha. at least I can remember some of the things I need to know on rocks.. Rocks is such a boring chapter to start with though heh. I like Hansel and Gretel. It isn't as good as playing Beethoven but not tooo bad either (: it rained so heavily afterward i'm so glad mum came to fetch otherwise I would have been drenched walking the superlongstretchofroad.

my life has been such a bore I haven't watched movies/TV/done random stuff for a weeek. AND it doesn't help that I'll just get busier. I worked out my schedule yesterday night and realized how busy I'd be, at least until SNYS concert is over, and even after that I've still got SYF to work for. I need to start setting resolutions and be extremely focused in everything I do. hmmm. Its only the first week of school, I've got 2 yrs in HC, I think I just need to adapt to it and hopefully I'll be able to do so soon.

I'm feeling very shagged now.. I've got lots more to do tomorrowwww.

Hmm I haven't blogged for like one week or so! Anw the first week of school.. went really really slowly. Even though our lessons end pretty early and stuff. haha i'm trying to get used to the lectures and tutorials. Lit and econs are interesting subjects, Geog is really hmmmm difficult to understand and pretty dry up till now. I still like math :) hmmm I went for band on wednesday, somehow decided to join band after all that dilemma. Haha hopefully the opportunity cost of not joining something else will not be more than the benefits of joining band xD (econsss!) but anyhow i hope it'll be a rewarding experience like it was with nycb. I'll have to discover new ways of managing my time.. What with almost five days of CCA along with ys practices. I hope I'll be able to manage CCA and studies and hopefully not drop any of my CCAs, unless I really really can't cope. I hope I'll learn a lot more along the way. (:

I've got quite a bit of work to do over the weekends... hmmm time to work really really hard! And I have practice tomorrow plus walking super super long stretch of roads for my clarinet lesson i don't wanttt :(

hello!

hmmm i was just doing some v-day stuff when I started looking through the nycb japan photos. Photos really bring back lots of memories.. Happy happy times! those taken at disneyland, at tokyo tower and stuff.. My section.. I really really miss them. JC is really different. I haven't felt that sort of bond, that kind of fun for a really long while. I miss NYCB! I hope that nycb will do really well during SYF though. Not to the standard of perfection, but to excellence. do your best juniors! (: 2 more months to go before SYF, please work really really hard so that you all won't look back and regret when the results are announced. The feeling of victory is undescribable; it seems almost yesterday when I started crying in jubilance once the emcee announced 'Gold'.. I hope my juniors will treasure this experience as well and enjoy the preparation and outcome as much as I did. Go go go jiayou all of you :D:D:D

kay hmmm its pretty late now. but i had a really fun OG dinner yesterday night at prince cafe! haha we took lots of photos and stuff, discussed OG outing (which I hope we'll have really soon!). Took lots of retarded shots hahaha. but it was really funnnnn xD i miss my OG a lottt.

We had CT stuff today.. mainly ice breakers and short briefings. Hmmm. I haven't gotten to know most of the people in my class, apart from ny people. hehhh games were relatively okay, though the spirit wasn't as high as last week. we learnt our batch dance as well. I hope I get to know my CT better this week.

orientation tmrw! I'm pretty much looking forward to it.. I just saw my CT namelist on ISP. 09A15! Hmm I hope it'll be fun meeting new people. most of the people are from nanyang though. ohwellls lets hope i'll have another fun week of orientation before school starts. I guess I'll still miss OG 25 though :( hahah i hope we'll have an outing sometime!

anyway, I watched bride wars today with yijiao :D met my cousin hahaha so coincidental. she went to watch bride wars spontaneously lol. bride wars was quite entertaining. we went to get stuff at Bugis later on, had dinner and talked super a lot HAHA. our topics were so interesting lolll xD

SNYS concert, 22nd March, 5.00pm, VCH. repertoire will be Beethoven Symphony 1/ Hansel and Gretel. Ask me if you want tickets! Tickets are at $5.00. haha I just found out about the concert yesterday when mrs wong gave us the flyers lol. We had combined prac yesterday, I really prefer combined pracs much more as compared to the winds practice. its entertaining watching Mr. Foo teaching the strings. its even more fun playing in an orchestra whooo :)

OG TWENTY FIVE LOVE:D

Week 1 of orientation is over and I had lots of fun this week! I enjoyed the games with my OG a lot and its just really fun to feel school spirit again.. that feeling of bondedness and unity.. something I haven't felt in a long while already. hmm I was really occupied this week, reaching home only in the evening everyday, feeling really tired after a day of games, but it was a really great experience! :D yesterday we had more games, sadly we had to end the games early because it started raining. So we started taking OG photos :D Had sodache as well. After dismissal, we played truth or dare while waiting for howard and sherry to join us for dinner. Truth or dare was super fun.. especially the dare parts where we came up with embarrassing dares and stuff hahaha.

OG dinner yesterday night, Swensens at plaza sing! waited until 10 before eating haha. while waiting we went crazy with swensens balloons and taking photos, we discussed the next og outing as well :) i really hope our OG will meet up often and catch up with one another!

Week one of orientation is over, and I really had great fun. thanks a million to our wonderful ogls, Howard and Sherry! :D and of course OG TWENTY FIVE :D for being such a fun loving OG! hope we'll meet up every now and then :)

Orientation! (:

Orientation has been pretty fun (OG 25!), lots of games/cheers/dances which i totally fail at because I can't coordinate properly D: couldn't catch up all the time so ughhh. We had icebreakers on Monday, games yesterday, CCA exhibition today! I have no idea what I want to take.. apart from snys. I signed up for Ge Fang, which is actually more of an interest club rather than a CCA. hopefully i'll get through auditions and be a keyboardist or smth. i think it should be pretty fun. I was thinking of huangcheng, but turns out its really busy.. hmmm so I guess I can give that up. but it seems like a really bonded CCA, which is one of the main priorities in the CCA i'm looking for. hmmm. I wouldn't mind joining band for the bonding part, but I guess I should try something else other than that. hmm. Apart from ge fang I really have no idea what to join.

apart from that, I'm starting to miss nanyang. I was looking at some of my juniors photos on facebook of random times in ny and I realise how much I miss about it... Our teachers, our classes, band ... I guess the times in nanyang were really really fun. I miss the super comfy seats in the audi (unlike the super hard chairs in the hc audi now), the classrooms, the LTs, the quadrangle, the podium area... there are just some of the many things I miss now.. To think I'm missing nanyang within the first official week of school. I guess I'll say that about HC in 2 years time .. hmm. but I guess its really about treasuring the time you spend in school, because it'll probably be the best time in our lives. :)

Hmmmm yea that's it for orientation. btw the ISP is so irritating i took so long to choose subject combination, because of the replaced subject thing. blahhh.

alright hope tomorrow's orientation games will be super fun as well :D

No school today, guess its the JC posting thing. but I'm really glad orientation's starting next week. I'm pretty glad its going to keep us moderately busy. Because finally we have days where there are proper times to report to school and there are not so many breaks everyday. So anyhow yesterday we ended our series of IP lectures. :D since I won't be taking chem/bio anymore it will be the last time I actually attend science lectures. hmmm. okay yeppp I'm really pretty glad we're going to have proper school next week onwards hurrrrah. finally I'm doing something productive after three full months :) I'm bored of being really bored nearly everyday. hehhh.

I hope nycb's SCH prac went well.. hmm. :) have not asked anyone about it yet though.

kay I want to watch movies, Doubt/Bride Wars. The ratings of Doubt convince me its a pretty good movie so I hope I have time to watch it. (:

hello. third day of cny today!

Went out in the morning with yenjin to watch Changeling. Changeling is a really good movie. hmmm it's a thought-provoking movie, questioning the rights of women (in the old times.. 1930s), the power of authority. I really respect Christine Collins (played by Angelina Jolie) who never gave up and continued to hold on to that glimmer of hope all the while. She managed to expose corruption and greed in the authorities at that time because she never once gave up. :) Really good movie. Was a little shocked at some disturbing parts though but I like the way the film managed to capture the emotions of the mother (Christine), and how it portrayed the case.

We had lunch afterward, talked and talked and then went home. Hahaha didn't carry out our CNY photoshoot though loll xD we can do that tmrw.

hmmm so to sum up CNY. It will be foood + more food + lots of camwhoring! hahah camwhoring with cousins provides great self entertainment xD quite fun haha.

School tomorrow! 8.00 to 1500, with like, three hours of break since we don't take physics. we're going to rot in school again. I'm so glad there is no school this Friday. Phewww.

Hello:D Happy Chinese New Year!
since i have the time to blog a bit about cny before I go somewhere else to bainian/etc.. hmmmm. celebrated CNY yesterday morning, went to two houses before going for movie (as usual) with my relatives. Ate a lot, lots and lots of nuts/kueh bangkit etc cny is such a fattening festival. xD
hmmm toook photos! haha our yearly camwhoring session with cousins at our house xD Today morning there were so many people coming to bainian .. ehh four families? haha and the timing overlapped somemore so we were busy serving food.
this year has been quite boring! Apart from the eating, we didn't really participate in any festive activities. ohwellls. hope we have a nice tuan yuan fan tonight with everyone around before holidays are over.. and we go back to school again!

hello!:D we had Chinese new year celebrations in school today. it was pretty boring, because there were only about 1 hour of performances, after which was street market, walked around buying food and eating. hmmm yu sheng after that with 412, after which we watched the J2s mass dance before we were allowed to leave. lunched at KFC with huiying before going home hehhh.

this week has been passing really really slowly i have no idea why. I guess its school and being unable to adapt to school yet. Time just passes really slowly. its just lecture break lecture home. There's nothing on for us yet until the o levels people come to hc. school is just really really boring la i'm so glad there's no school until next thurs whooooo. (:

hello:D third day of school! we had 2 hours of lectures and 1.5 hours of break haha. hmm.. Am thinking of what CCA i should join, whether i should even join anything since I alrd have snys, heh. tmr we have more lectures, but longer break as well. like two hours.. haha i guess we'll go out for lunch :D

anw I just listened to Obama's inaugural speech :) It is amazing to see a huge crowd of 2 million (that's half of Singapore's population!) gather to listen to him, to be inspired by him. Here are a few of my favourite parts of the speech.

hmmm so days 1 and 2 of school! hmmm we've had a few hours of lectures, walked around a little bit and that's it. haha i'm not really in the school mood yet though xD anw, yesterday after a few lectures, me yenjin huiying and joleen went hunting for sheena's present xD lots of hmmm random stories behind chip and dale hahah. was at plaza sing for a little while before we had food and went home :)

Today morning we had breakfast at kap :) celebrated sheena's birthday.. ehh not really actually hah. went to school for lectures for 2 hrs. math and writing GP essay.. eh i was super incoherent :/ too long a break from writing essays alrd oops. lunched after lectures (ny food is so much better) before I went back to ny. mm visited juniors! :D:D who commented that I changed a lot. Hahah anw it was really odd cos I was the only one who went back and was in the HC uniform. Caught up a little bit with tabby, sat down for tuning/first suite. Didn't realize val and lorriane had come until like I went out. stayed a little to listen to overture before I left. it feels really nice to be back (:

alright tmr we have more lectures but we end at 1.30 hurray :) I'm currently looking forward to Obama's presidential inauguration. cooolios to the people who get to watch it live in America, 2 million plus of them. I got really inspired by Obama that day when I watched the video on PBS frontline.

hmm so anw yenjin joleen and huiying came to my house on Friday. Joleen was smart enough to reach here from the MRT haha. Played Cluedo!:D and then after joleen left (really soon) we did Math and talked haha. I was really glad I finished most of it until I realised I lost the piece of paper onto which I wrote the answers onto :O had to redo some of it.. but mostly completed so hurrrray :) i doubt they'll check our papers until a really long time later though.

Today! Prepared for interview in the morning at yenjin's house. haha. we were totally spamming ourselves with possible interview questions and current affairs etc. got even more scared after which. but anw hmm the scholarship interview was pretty scary. not because of the interviewers.. but more likely because of the fact that you have to think on your feet, think fast and stuff. I got pretty freaked out at times. but ohwelllls, i just hope for the best. i need to learn how to react spontaneously during such interviews hmm.

hmm home, rushed out for ys prac for which i was late in the end blah. anw we did beethoven's symphony:) Island creameried with my mum aft that whooo. :D.

Wednesday night I went for SSO's Beethoven Festival concert! it was pretty grand, what with all the cake cutting (For SSO's thirtieth anniversary) and guest of honour. Beethoven's symphony no 1 and 5 and Bruch's violin concerto no 1 :) I like Beethoven's symphonies.. esp no 5, where the angst in the first movement transformed to warm movements and a glorious ending. I love the melody from the third movement from Bruch's violin concerto as well.

mmm yep. i wanted tickets for the concert this saturday (symphony 2 and 4) but its fulll alrd.. but i'm really glad i can go for Eroica! nxt thurs. whoooo.

Today I went back to school to collect our results for Higher Chinese Os. It felt really great to see everyone again! I felt really sec4-ish. :D hmmm anyhow, I was really worried initially and really jittery because I was pretty sure I had screwed my zuowen so I didn't know what to expect.. Hehhh but it wasn't that bad afterall so hurray :D toured a little around ny after that, but since its monday there weren't many people left in school after 2 plus. Went home with huiying aft that. thanks lots to yenjin huiying and joleen for the birthday present :D I hope we'll successfully meet up this week for badminton and mathhhh. I still have math left to do ughhh :(

hurray i've finished my job assignment for this week :D finally. cashiering for one week is actually pretty tiring... hmmm i guess its quite fun at times, apart from the fact that it is really tiring on the feet and you end up with blisters here and there. i think i'll need a few days (hopefully!) to recover. hmmm I guess it has been quite a fun experience. I learnt how to operate the till, fold umbrellas and shirts, how to deal with customers.. etc. :) hmm but I guess I'd want to try something else in future! probably a holiday job in the f & b industry?.. :D

hmmmm so this week will be my last week of freedom before school starts! hopefully i'll spend the time well. hmm I'm attending a concert on wednesday.. beethoven's symphony 1 and 5 :D was playing symphony 1 on thurs during snys prac, and we were crazily transposing at sight which was quite impossible. but I like the piece! i wonder what else we're playing.

yay its the first day this week i'm home at this hour:)

so i've been cashiering for three days.. Its quite fun in a sense but really really tiring on the feet. I was tiptoeing when I reached home yesterday night after my 10 hour shift omg. other than that.. It didn't turn out as hard as I had imagined! I still remember that day when we were training.. I was really confused. but practice makes perfect.. haha. So far I haven't met any serious problems yet so hopefulllly nothing will happen the rest of this week :) Huiying/Joleen came down to visit today! hahah. they were so secretive about the other two people who were supposedly here loll. I didn't see them anyway haha.

hmm I have an offday tmr:D hopefully I'll get to visit my juniors during band prac before I go for Snys. Haven't seen them for quite a while! haha. bye:)

I'm tired and really anxious about tomorrow's work! haha i started revising my notes on how to operate the till yesterday night and i just reread everything again xD. haha I've been really scared I'll screw up somehow or other but I don't want to make any mistakes that will cost me my meagre pay. HAHA. so i can only cross my fingers and hope I don't do anything wrong :)

hmm today I bought a stand mixer, so that I can make cake/cookies without having to use my hands. whoo xD My family's depending on it for pineapple tarts this year. my dad found a waffle maker in the kitchen cabinet tooo so we're having waffles tomorrow morning.. I hope I get the waffle recipe right :D excitinggg.

kay I can't believe it but currently I can't wait to go back to school. I've had a really loong holiday without doing any truly productive/constructive thing that I'm getting a little bored haha. I guess I'd never have felt this way in the past. hmm i should sleep soon nights(:

counted down on wednesday midnight with family at home watching tv and having lots of food. I have been doing nothing very productive, except for math paper (:D) i'm so glad i finally finished it, except for many questions that I don't know how to do. Hopes to meet up with yenjin huiying etc sooon so we can finish everything. I've been baking lots, since I won't have the chance to once school reopens. I finally used the pooh, piglet, mickey and minnie cookie cutters which I bought from Japan:D The cookies turned out reallly cute now I wish I'd bought more. They had like hello kitty, chip and dale and many cute disney characters.

Working next week! which reminds me. I've got to miss 207 gathering D: I hope I can change shift but I'm not sure ugh I'll have to go ask someone on Monday. hmm work work! Pretty excited about how its going to be like. But I guess it'll be quite tiring since I've got to stand throughout my shift.

Friday was school for my younger sis and brother. haha still holidays for me/my sis who's waiting to go to uni. I doubt I'll even have the school mood when 19th comes round:/ Hmmmm.

Hmm so its the last post of the year. 2008 has been wonderful in many many ways.. I'm contented the opportunities I had in the past year and I've learnt a lot as well :) Hmm there was Graces camp, Japan Trip, IMC, Limelight.. and finally passing down.. I think this year must have been one of the most exciting years in nanyang for me. Well next year I'll be in JC and I hope I'll learn as much (or even more!) as I did this year..:) I've listed 80 new year resolutions and stuck them into my organizer just so I remember and follow them.

The previous two days have been pretty well spent. Monday was job briefing and training... So I learnt how to operate the cashier machine. It isn't that simple.. haha now i'm a little afraid I might do something wrongly ooops. But I'll try really really hard not to! hmm. I'm a little excited yet nervous at the same time. But I guess it'll be a good experience after all.

Tuesday morning was performing at shangri la for the principals' investiture with snys. we played a few pieces and ended when the guest of honour entered.. and that was about it. hmmm other times we had food, camwhored a little in the glam toilet with ziyan and val since we're only wearing the gown again the next concert haha.

yep that's the really really long gown. we can step on the skirt cos its so long :O

today I made pineapple tarts :D Learnt it yesterday night during baking class so I decided to make it. (since I've been a really lazy student and have not attempted any of the recipes yet!) got the ingredients in the morning, including the cutter which cuts the dough really nicely. It turned out.. pretty alright. a little on the dry side, especially the pineapple jam, but welll nice for a first attempt! :) I'll probably modify it a little before making it for CNY.

I made 50 pineapple tarts in all..

hmmm alright. hopefully tonight my family will go for some countdown party instead of staying at home even though we have no plans yet. Happy new year! :)

hello! hehh so I went to Malaysia today to attend one of my relative's birthday lunch. Came home with lots of clothes from shopping for 1.5 hours.. haha and we only went into about five shops. :D Got my chinese new year clothes yay which means I don't have to worry about it anymore. anyhow the food was really good, bought rotiboy (the coffee bread thing) which smells really good. haha i guess i'll devour one tonight :)
tomorrow's a busy day (finally)! I think 'busy' has not appeared in my routine for a long while.. Going to john little to sign some contract, after which I have training for my work in the afternoon, and then snys prac in the evening. haha busy but fruitful!:)

HELLO.

i'm feeling so sick/full/tired all at the same time now. section outing! sec1s didn't turn up.. Hmm so there were only eight people. haha. Had lots of foood when we first reached there, took pictures with self timer/ chingying's really coool camera :D Attempted jumpshots and stuff. Then when we were really full we went to cycle. haha me and connie couldn't cycle.. So we rented bicycles with training wheels. :D Some people shot us this weird look along the way la haha. met yenjin and some guides along the way! so coincidental. Hmmm. Yepp and then we cycled for about one hour before resting at this really nice area along the beach which was so peaceful and quiet.. :) hmm. Loved the wind and cool weather (sometimes) along the way :D Took more photos, soaked our feet in the cool sea water and then cycled back. Had more food before we went home.. Which is why i'm feeling really full now. full of huizhen's Ruffles, sherlyn's sandwiches, tabby's milo etc!

Also I'm feeling a little sick.. I think I'm going to fall sick really soon which is :( probably the rain/change of weather caused it. I hope I get better during the weekends! When I came home.. John little called. :D So i have a job in january! yess end of boredom. (for one week only though) I hope they call yenjin too so we can work together! :D Hmmm but not sure whether they have enough positions to fill..

Okay I'll go have some rest now. Picking up the snys gown tomorrow morning.. haha I hope I don't get lost along the way again. :X

hello.. so its post christmas! merry christmas:D

What I've been doing this week.. Hmm I went for Phil Youth concert, went to watch Bolt, been to botanic gardens.. section outing later! Phil Youth concert was good... liked movement for rosa and persis :D Bolt was a really nice movie too! Different from the typical uhmmm Disney kind of thing. Christmas yesterday.. where the whole family ended up packing rooms and throwing away many things. went to botanic gardens to take pictures in the afternoon, and we had peranakan cuisine at night :)

Now I'm a little sick.. Guess its the weather which made me catch a cold. :( hmm. okay I hope next week will get a little better.. Less boring? haha. bye(:

I've been having a pretty fun day today. Haha lets seee. In the morning, I went for the John Little interview for temp cashier with yenjin. It wasn't really an 'interview' though..Just filling in the form and telling us about how the job will be like. Hmmm. but there were a whole lot of people there, this whole LONG QUEUE. plus there are more interviews tmr as well so the competition's pretty tough. (haha I sound like I interviewed for some scholarship or something!) but in any case, I hope we both get the job. So at least we'll learn something and kill time as well..

I slacked around in the afternoon. I reread old letters.. Hmm from sec1 till now! I keep everything in this whole big box because there'll be some day when I read them and start laughing/tearing/idk. I read letters from like sec1, the ones that the seniors (jacklyn,yumin's batch) gave. Haha. Then there's guoying's letter which somehow I have read many times.. And a lot of angel-mortal letters from sec1 and 2. then this year's passing down/limelight where everything's basically in pink :D I enjoyed reading tabby's letter. And basically I realised how much things changed.. how much I changed and learnt to open up. (: rereading the letters makes me imagine how different it would be with the seniors.. Etc etc. but it made me feel really warm in the heart.. :D

In the evening I had snys prac! :) My first snys prac.. Found it quite hard to catch up at first. because the first piece was radetzky march.. exciting but I got lost many times until the end. I guess I'll have lots of practicing to do! Especially for the woodwind piece as well which I've never played before. Basically the whole prac was this crazy sightreading marathon for me. but i'll aim to be able to play everything by the next practice which is next Monday. and the performance is next tuesday goodness.

band camp:D:D
hahaha really my favourite camp :) Hmmm it was so fun because we didn't have much to do so we had loads of time to slack around. it wouldn't have been that fun if my batch weren't there hahah :D playing bridge! oh my haha I learnt so much from the camp and improved a whole lot in bridge thanks to quinza hahaha. And watching The Noose with janabel guanteng etc etc. Shopping at Plaza Sing (yesss hahaha) with jo, sunran and yunjia!:) realised how vain yunjia is xD Late night chats with Ms Teng cos I didn't want to watch anime. Even had time to do manicure/ facial mask xD
okay now on to the serious stufff hahaha. hmm what did I learn from this camp? I learnt how to observe and give feedback/advice to others to help them improve, I think that'd be one of my major take aways from the camp. Of course I bonded lots more with my batch (especially!) cos we had so much time together :)

Thanks to the various batches:D the sec threes who spent like a whole night doing it. thank you to the sec threes for organising the camp as well :D hmmmm as for my last wishes...well I can only hope for NYCB to soar to greater heights.. helloo I've been having a really nice busy week so far :D Monday was hari raya! Yay so we all stayed at home.. Hmmm. I baked shaped cookies finally! It tasted fine though it was a litte hard.. The dough was quite hard to shape cos I didn't chill it enough :S but other than that it was fun haha. Shaped gingerbread men, ice cream cones, heart and star shapes. helped my younger sis to shape her chocolate too! after that, our family went to compass point for food and shopping but food occupied more of the time haha.
Tuesday.. Worked a bit in the morning and afternoon. Mum's treat to swensens during lunch :D Ice cream was goood yum. Went swimming in the afternoon with siblings and daddy and we kept competing who'd swim the fastest haha. went for baking class at night, learnt christmas shortbread, christmas stollen and banana chiffon yummmyumm. Really want to bake the christmas stollen! My dad loves it haha. I love the fruit and almond in it :)
Today I spent some time at the library, had lunch with my sisters in bugis.. Hmmmm went to kexin's house in the afternoon to do the IMC presentation for nycb nxt week. I felt really nostalgic and started thinking about everything during IMC.. Had LOTS of goosebumps listening to the rehearsals and the concert.. Ohmy. Colin Clarke really does miracles (i.e. Armenian Dances)! :D haha. We started looking at all the photos and thinking about what was happening here and there etc etc. (Our jump shots really WIN haha.) IMC was really really funnnnn and an enriching experience! Probably one of the best days I've had this year (: I learnt so much from our conductor and instructors, and for the first time made friends of so many different nationalities! haha. anyhowww. i'm glad we've finished our powerpoint :D (though its mainly photos and more photos oops!)
yay i've had a great week so far. hmmmm what should I do tomorrow!:)

i'm back to being hooked on blogging :D
i've had a really tiring day! Hmmm. but i've finally changed my phone such that it does not hang all the time. went out to the supermarket with my younger sis and daddy and it was so.. Peaceful. For the first time (I'm serious!) nobody called to hurry us home. Hehh so strange.
other than that I've done nothing much! hmm. yay tomorrow's a public holiday.. I shall bake shaped cookies like I've always wanted to! :)

Grad night! :D Since I'm bored and have not blogged about it in detail.
Hmmm went to yenjin's house in the morning to prepare. Did nails, got bored so I set up my facebook account! Then we had lunch, and went to do hair. which is the most terrible hairdo ever. hahaha. I came out of the salon with this big head of hair, half frizzy and half straight. Yenjin looked much better though, with her curls and all. Hmmmm after that yenjin settled her contacts, then we had this mad rush doing make up cos it was pretty late before taking a taxi to marriot. Reached there super early. There were very few people so we took photos and stuff.. Hmmmm. Dinner started at 8, we had performances by this HC band, and this magician. took more photos throughout the night and went home pretty early.

hellloo i'm really bored which explains why i'm posting twice in a night.

hello:D

hurray i've just changed the layout. something which i've wanted to do for a really long time but was too lazy to xD hmmmm. So this week has passed pretty quickly! I have been working in my mum's office, because I couldn't find a job that would hire for one month plus plus I wouldn't be able to commit for one whole month. So currently at least I have something to fill up my time. Otherwise I'd be really really bored!

Well my holidays haven't been really productive. I haven't done lots of things I wanted to! I've been doing lots of random things that do not stimulate my intellect etc etc(oops) Hmmmm. I haven't even finished the HC math paper! I attempted doing and finished a bit last month ... BUT. I haven't touched it since. D: Ugh hc paper. What have I done then... I've gone on a holiday, been sick and spent a long time recovering, gone for random band pracs, attend baking classes, set up a facebook account, gone for grad night, read a few books.. and that's about it >< oooops. I must seriously start thinking of doing something productive.

for now. I'll spend more time on the clarinet and improve throughout the holidays, work, and look forward to band camp:D Hehhh hopefully it'll be funnnnn!

Hello i'm back blogging. Heh. I've been having a pretty busy week so far haha. I'm glad its busy though. :D it's much better than the really boring days i had in november. I'm having lots of fun playing facebook though I was the latest to get it in the family ha. Grad night was okay.. it was pretty boring though. didn't really feel like grad night cos there was only a quarter of the cohord present. hmmmmm. Had lunch with comm (without cheryl though!) and ms chong today. ahh i miss the comm! especially yunjia cos we haven't seen each other for so long. haha must remember our plans for band camp yea :D

Hello I'm back :D
I've been to.. Europe! Started off at Prague, then Linz, Melk, Vienna, Bratislava, Budapest :D It snowed quite a lot the first few days but then towards the end we got used to the cold. The scenery was really really pretty because of the snow covered houses and the pretty snow. Learnt more about the history of Europe because we visited palaces and museums. Yep overall it was a really nice trip with lots of fooood. on the cruise we had like 3 course meals for lunch and dinner every single day.
Yepp so I'm back! I kinda miss the whole trip though.. but we always have to go back to reality D:

hello goodness its been a really long time since I last blogged. currently I'm supposed to be in vancouver, but am not, because I fell sick the day before, and I'm still sick ugh.
It has been really really boring at home I can't find anything decent to do. D: Tried finding jobs but I can't find anything really suitable and my resume is miserably blank.
I've got a list of things I'd want to do though... but that will have to wait until I recover.
I hate the flu bug!

So I graduated yesterday.
Well, no tears, parting sorrows and everything.. But I'll really miss nanyang. :(
Time just passes so fast, it doesn't feel like we have graduated, but in fact, we are already part of nanyang's alumni.
Things I'll remember most about nanyang...
Choral and Drama Night (: That was in sec 1 and 2. Still remember my role as Zihui's mum in sec 1 choral night, And then that crazy priest role in sec 2. but in sec 2 we did really well because our class had both the first item and the finale. Still remember everyone crying after choral night in sec 2 because everyone was separated into different classes and all.
I'll remember 207 during lifeskills camp and that performance which we came up with because everyone didn't want to work together, I'll remember OM also, because we had so much fun, and well even though we didn't continue with OM in sec three, I think we'll always remember how we used to have fun painting our props, rehearsing and going crazy.
And then after that we parted and went to sec three. I went to 312 and felt really out of place because I didn't know a lot of people and basically everyone just stayed in their own cliques and didn't really talk. But I'm glad to see that after 1 year or so we have come together, closer. I will remember Lifeskills Camp this year at downtown east, where we learnt how to make up, and had our formal dinner. I will always remember OBS too, because it was where I learnt never to give up. I'll remember our April Fools' joke on Mr. Tan, the geog test which lasted for a really long time. haha. I'll remember our chem lessons, titrating and getting really bored; remember our bio lesson where we dissected a pig's heart. I'll remember our chinese lesson where Wu Lao Shi told us how she felt 'close' to us, I'll remember Ms. Khoo's "don't leave Mr. Lam at home".. there are just so many things that I will remember.
And of course I will not forget nycb! which definitely plays a big role in moulding me, and in my growing process. I learnt a lot in the exco, I learnt problem solving, I learnt about keeping calm amid times of crisis, I learnt about handling people, I learnt about leading.. well I really learnt a lot. I remember SYF where I cried because I was really very happy, I remember how shocked I was when I got my post, I remember all my juniors who are always there to tell me lame jokes, I remember the sectionals room, I remember the smell of the band room, I remember my first instrument which was really really old, I remember how we were scared of our seniors in sec 1.
Well, there are definitely many things that I will remember about nanyang. Time really passes fast and we'll be going to HC, but I will definitely keep these memories for life, and cherish them. Its funny how I used to always complain about nanyang, but yesterday during graduation, I realised how much I love nanyang.
I love nanyang because it is where I have learnt many lessons and become a better person. (:
